Founded in 1985 by Syed Babar Ali, the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) is Pakistan's leading private research university, located on a 100-acre urban campus in DHA, Lahore. Operating under the motto Learning Without Borders, LUMS is ranked #555 in QS World University Rankings 2026 and is consistently ranked #1 in Pakistan across all major ranking systems.
With 5,457 students (2025), over 300 faculty members — 75% holding doctoral degrees from world-leading institutions — and 14,298 alumni across the globe, LUMS has established itself as the premier institution for higher education in South Asia. The university provides significant financial support, offering 30% to 140% tuition waivers to one-third of its student body.
